What you can expect

  • Matching with families whose values and routines fit yours.

  • Real support by phone, WhatsApp, email, or in person—especially when you’re unsure about a role.

We place:

  • Educated Au Pairs/ Childcare Specialists - with at least a matric education or an ECD equivalent qualification.

    Falling under a variety of categories:

  • Professional Au Pairs – highly experienced, career au pairs.

  • Morning Au Pairs – age-appropriate stimulation.

  • Afternoon Au Pairs – after school assists.

  • PA Type Au Pairs – run the family home and see to the children

  • Special-Needs Au Pairs - work with physical disabilities/ learning

    difficulties / various neurodiversity’s.

  • Students Au Pairs who ‘Earn While They Learn’- study and au pair

  • Big Brother Au pair (Bro-pair) an educated male mentoring and

    sporty role.

  • Baby Specialists – vast experience with newborns to toddlers

  • Night Nurses – night shifts duties seeing to and caring for babies

  • Learner Facilitators – accompanies the child who needs one-on-one

    support in the classroom due to various learning difficulties.

  • Tutors @Home – supports the child’s education with specific subjects

  • Teachers @Home – qualified teachers who do home-schooling.

  • Short term au pair: experienced au pair who do fixed term assignments

    e.g overseas visits, emergencies, holidays ect. 

Minimum (Essential) Requirements

  • 12+ months recent childcare experience (outside family/friends) with written, contactable references.

  • Matric at least or ECD equivalent qualification– preferably child related tertiary studies

  • Valid driver’s license and your own, roadworthy car - not shared.

  • Clear, professional communication and a genuine love for children.

  • SA ID/ valid work authorization if not a citizen.

  4. Include: an updated comprehensive CV with childcare experience, ID-size photo, childcare certificates, Matric, ID/permit & Driver’s license, references, and (if you have) a recent criminal check.

  5. Final Step: If you meet criteria, we’ll book a personal in-depth interview with you

Code of Conduct as an Au Pair

Do

  • Be safety-first—driving, car seats, safety belts.

  • Be organized: timekeeping, activity plans, bags, lunches, tidy play areas.

  • Always communicate whereabouts to the parents.

  • Keep simple logs/receipts for any expenses.

  • Keep your phone available for work purposes only, not personal use.

  • Maintain confidentiality and respect family privacy.

Don’t

  • Treat au pairing as babysitting or “screen-time supervision.”

  • Be late for pickups, leave messes, or discuss personal problems with the children / family.

  • Wear inappropriate clothing or use offensive language.

  • Use your phone during work hours other than job use only.

  • Discuss politics/ religion with children

  • Put any photos or mention children in your care on social media.

Our ethos: Act in the best interests of the child, champion their dignity, and partner respectfully with families.

After You Are Placed

  • You will receive guidance from us when asked and/ or appropriate.

  • Please share any issues with us that you need guidance on – we will support you in finding solutions and mediate on your behalf, if requested.
